Selling information, especially short reports, is a huge money maker online. But in order to get that money you have to have some sort of payment processor set up. The easiest way to accept payment when you are first starting out is via paypal.

The problem is that sometimes people get confused and are not sure how to redirect the customer to a download page where they instantly download the product. With this article I will show you exactly how to do that with paypal.

The first thing you need to do is log into your paypal account and click on 'Merchant Services'. Once you get to that page you will see a section that says 'Create Buttons'. From there, click on 'Buy Now' so you can start setting up your button.

Step #1 - Once you get to this page you will first need to select what you will be accepting payment for. Will it be a product, service, subscription etc. Since this is an ebook you will select product. Once you do that go down and you will fill in the required information such as the item name and price.

Step #2 - The next section will be where you will track inventory. Since you will be selling an information product you will have no inventory so you can just skip this section.

Step #3 ' This is the section where you will redirect your buyers to a page where they can instantly download your report. This section is called 'Customize Advanced Features'. In order to allow you customers to be able to download your product instantly after they have paid you will need to set up a separate page for them to be redirected to immediately after they pay. For instance, if your website address is SuperDuperGreatReport.com you would need to set up another page that is something like SuperDuperGreatReport.com/1253-dwn-ok45839. The reason I added all the numbers is because you need to make that address something that is not easy to remember. You don't want people to be able to keep going back and downloading your product. You would click the box that says Take customer to a specific page (URL) after successful checkout and enter in the web address you want them to go.

If you do not want to do all of that you can always use a service such as e-junkie. They encrypt everything for you and allow your buyers to download the report only so many times.
